About Us
Star Canyon School of Nursing was founded in 2007 by Michael Ayodele, Ed. D and Regina Ayodele, RN,
with a Christian mission of improving basic patient care training in the Valley. We aim to promote diversity,
skilled hands-on care, body-mechanics proficiency, privacy, and dignity in client care. From our earliest beginnings, we have placed a special focus on the patient perspective, emphasizing that
students should not only posess technical skill and knowledge but also understand perspectives different
from their own. We pride ourselves on rigorous hands-on skill training, which focuses on body mechanics,
high-risk transfers, and preserving privacy/dignity. Our open labs operate nearly round-the-clock and have been often used for State testing. We allow our students to schedule lab practice 6 days a week.
Additional staff include:
Elizabeth Ayodele, JD
Puna Thakur, MSN
Theo Roiland, MSN
Fortisha Morrison, BSN
Tina McIntosh, BSN
Jeannie Meyer, RN
Joseph Ayodele, LPN
David Ayodele, CNA
SCSN graduates have historically achieved a well above average pass rate on their board exams and come back
frequently to utilize the lab and share their perspectives and insights on the profession. We are always glad to see/hear from past students.
Sunnyslope Mountain is our backdrop
